Left Coast T-Shirt Company - Meet Our Staff

David Whitaker started Left Coast T-Shirt Company, his second business, in early 2003. He started his first business, an ecommerce company, in 1999 while simultaneously studying computer science and working as a programmer at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. A desire to save on printed apparel for his existing company led him to begin his own screenprinting operation which eventually moved to the forefront. David sold his first business, the ecommerce company, in 2006, after simultaneously running both companies for three years. He then turned all of his focus to operating Left Coast T-Shirt Company. As with most residents of San Luis Obispo, he does whatever he can to find some time outdoors. In fact, on any given day off he may be found scuba diving, rock climbing, swimming, biking, running, or traveling.

David is also a graduate of Leadership SLO, class 17, and an active participant and volunteer at the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce.

Whitney Reis is our customer service manager. She sees to it personally that all clients are given excellent service and that their orders are handled as efficiently and carefully as possible. A Cal Poly graduate with a focus in Human Resources and Management, she has been at Left Coast T-Shirt Company since June of 2009. Whitney is a self-proclaimed “cupcake queen” and a lover of all things sparkly, glittery, or bedazzled. As a fourth generation local, she swears that she’ll never leave the central coast.

Whitney is an active participant and volunteer at the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce.

Alli Silva has been working at Left Coast T-Shirt Company as a customer service representative since June of 2010. Her personal touch helps to ensure that all of our customers receive the care and attention that we take so seriously. Having grown up here on the central coast, she attended Arroyo Grande High School and Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. She loves to spend time with her three sons, and plays volleyball or goes hiking whenever she can find the free time.

Danielle Scott is originally from Amherst, Virginia, where she attended the University of Virginia to get her degree in Gender Studies. She decided to come out to “The Golden State” to enjoy better weather. She is an exceptional part of the Left Coast customer service team and will be thrilled to assist you in perfecting your order. On her off days she challenges herself to climbing trails in Montana de Oro National Park. She also enjoys dance as a hobby.

Chris is a lifelong artist with a penchant for computing. He took naturally to graphic design at an early age and has been honing those skills since. Chris came to Left Coast T-Shirt Company in its early days as a graphic designer. He processes all incoming art, working closely with our print staff to make sure that every design prints and wears the way our customers want. When not editing proofs or doing color separations, he is likely to be enjoying the outdoor beauty of the central coast.


 

Christie Greening is our screenprinting manager. With over twenty years of experience in screenprinting, she personally oversees all print production and print staff. Christie initially moved to the central coast of California for college and it was here that she discovered a passion for printing. She joined Left Coast T-Shirt Company in its youth, bringing with her hands-on experience and expertise. When not working, she is likely to be found playing volleyball. And being an avid hiker and camper, Christie loves to take advantage of the natural beauty of San Luis Obispo County.

Hilary Wong is the embroidery specialist for Left Coast T-Shirt Company. She relocated from the central valley with her husband and brings many years of industry experience. As a seasoned digitizer, she constantly strives to learn new techniques and effects to use in your artwork. When she isn't at the shop, Hilary loves to explore the central coast and has recently taken up golf. Hilary is an excellent worker and strives for perfection.
 

Nicholas Licouris attends Cal Poly as a Business Administration student with a concentration in Finance. His role at Left Coast T-Shirt Company is as an office assistant. He helps out the office staff wherever he can. He stays active by playing soccer and swimming.

Gloria Creamer helps in our production department. A former resident of Death Valley, a trip to San Luis Obispo convinced her to make the move here. Though a busy, loving mother, she tries to leave time in her schedule for hiking and shelling.

Greg Vine is a local SLO County native and helps out with production in both the screenprinting and embroidery departments. Outside of work Greg enjoys taking his longboard out and skating around town. Greg is also a student at Cal Poly, earning a degree in City and Regional Planning.

Alex Friend is a production assistant in the screenprinting department. He helps keep the shop running smooth by doing lots of the much needed prep work. He’s another SLO County native that enjoys his days off skating and enjoying the sun.
